I will admit that is a troubling moment. What compelled her to say that is beyond me - I guess that nasty ol' demon "ambition" reared its ugly head. Too bad, as she is extremely capable, is well respected on both sides of the aisle, actually cares about people, etc, etc. But a goof like that can certainly sink the ship. We all have a tendency to exaggerate at times (at least those of us that are "human"), but when you're chasing this prize, that doesn't quite cut the mustard, so to speak. It will be interesting to see if this disappears from the radar screen or intensifies.

I tend to see things as black and white, and given that upon landing in Bosnia Hillary Clinton a) Walked off the plane, b) Did not duck her head, and c) Greeted people cordially, I am forced to conclude that she is either delusional or has very poor judgment concerning the likelihood of getting away with telling outrageous lies.

I do not accept that she was simply “mistaken” in her account.

Do I want to have a president that is delusional or prone to telling outrageous and embarrassing lies?

So, was she lying or was she delusional? The answer is, she was lying. Liars lack the character to do the right thing. If she had merely been delusional, she would be seeking treatment (now that she recognizes she was “mistaken”), and she would recognize she is not mentally ready to be President of the United States since she has trouble differentiating between reality and fiction.

Honestly, she should not be running for office after this incident. Unfortunately, since she was lying, she has shown she lacks character, and therefore she will not “do the right thing” and withdraw her candidacy.

Words matter. Lying is bad.

I don't think Obama was expecting Reverend Wright's comments and I don't think we can always control what our acquaintances are going to do at any given moment. It seems rather clear that Obama has distanced himself from the Reverend since the comments. Now if he had sat in church every Sunday and every Sunday Rev. Wright had blasted forth with this stuff, well that's another story. I would then agree with Hilary that he needs to find another pastor and church. But apparently, this wasn't the case and Obama wasn't going to condemn the church for one moment of the pastor's losing his grip.

I didnt see a problem w/ the questions. If Obama wants to associate with certain people, he should answer for it.
